CHAP. 1481.——An Act Making appropriations for the naval service for tho fiscal UL R' 1m'·] year ending Juno thirtioth, nineteen hundred and six, and for other purposes. puma-, nm. 214. · [ ] Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatifves of the [United N¤~i¤1_¤¢¤‘i¤¤ ¤r> States of America in Omagress assembled, That the following sums be, °r°°"°°1°”‘ and they are hereby, appropriated, to be paid out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for tho naval service of the Government for the year ending Juno thirtioth, ninotoon hundred and six, and for other purposes. PAY or THE NAVY. P“’ °*“’° N"Y· Pay and allowances rescribed by law of officers on sos. duty; officers on shore and other guty; officers on waiting orders; officers on the retired list; clerks to commandants of yards and stations; clerks to pay- masters at yards and stations, general storokocpors, receiving ships, and other vessels; commutation of quarters for officors on shore not occupying public quarters, including boutswains, gunnors, carpenters, suilmakors, warrant machinists, harmucists, and mates, and also naval constructors and assistant navalpconstructors; pay of enlisted men on tho retired list; extra pay to men roénlisting under honorable discharge; interest on deposits bg; men; pay of petty officcrs, seamen, landsmon and apprentices, inolu "ng men in tho onginoc->rs’ force, and men detailed for duty with Naval Militia, und for tho Fish Commission, thirty-four ` thousand iivo hundred men; and the number of enlisted men shall bo exclusive of those undergoing imprisonment with sentence of dishonor- W“"“”"““°hi“*’”· able discharge from tho sorvwo at expiration of such confinement; and as many warrant machinists as the President may from time to time deem necessary to a, point, not to exceed twenty in any one year; and two thousand live Illundrod apprentices under training at training stations
