Chap. 1714.—An Act Granting an increase of pension to Samuel N. Johnson.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Samuel N. Johnson, late of Company L, First Missouri State Militia Cavalry, and pay him a pension at the rate of forty dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Isaac W. Acker, late of Company E, Twenty-first Regiment Wisconsin Volunteer Infantry, and pay him a pension at the rate of twenty-four dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Ellen Cain, widow of Cornelius Cain, late of Company M, Fourth Regiment United States Artillery, war with Mexico, and pay her a pension at the rate of eight dollars per month.
