That there shall be exhibited at the Jamestown Exposition ` by the Government of the United States from the Smithsonian Institution, the National Museum, and the Library of Congress such articles and materials of an historical nature as will serve to impart a knowledge of our colonial and national history; and such Government exhibit shall also include an exhibit from the War and Navy Departments, the Life-Savin Service, the Revenue-Cutter Service, the Army, the Navy, the Li ht-Rouse Service, the Bureau of Fisheries, and an exhibit from the island of Porto Rico. And the Bureau of American Republics is. hereby invited to make an exhibit illustrative of the resources and international relations of the American Republics, and space in any of the United States Government exhibit buildin s shall seieeuou sruucies be provide for that purpose. Government who may be detailed to assist them, including the officers of the Army and Navy, shall receive no compensation in addition to their regular salaries, but they shall be allowed their actual and neces- PH ¤i¤¤· sary traveling expenses, together with a per diem in lieu of subsist- ¤cQgB¤*1¤f r¤¢ir¢¤ 0*- ence not to excee four dollars.
