By virtue of authorit vested in them and in the exercise of the C°“"°““°”"'*°”g· gption granted by Sectibn 2 of Article 21 of the Univeisal Postal 1}:g<ifspi•(id¤i1¢?¤i?8mt° { onvention of Rome, Albert S. Burleson, Postmaster General of the United States of America and Charles Osborne Anderson, Postmaster of Bahamas have mutually agreed that the predpaid st rate apphcable to letters mailed in the United States ad ressed)i')or?eBlivery in the Bahamas shall be the rate (two cents an ounce) a plicable to letters in the domestic service of the United States, anld to letters mailed in the Bahamas addressed for delivery in the United States the rate (one penny ug to 2 ounces) applicable to letters in the domestic service of the ahamas. Letters unpaid or shortpaid shall be despatched to destination, but double the amount of the deficient postage, calculated at said rates, shall be collected of the addressees upon the delivery of such unpaid or shortpaid letters. — Each country shall retain to its own use the postage collected on R°°¤*P*¤- the letters in question. This convention shall take effect and operations thereunder shall E”°°°°°d d¤¤“°¤- begin on the first day of January, 1915, and shall continue in force until terminated by mutual agreement; or may be annulled at the desire of the Postal Administration of either country upon six months previous notice given to the other.
