Wyoming, clertain areas}iF¥i<iih1viiii?` and restoring the public lands therein in a manner authorized b the V°l‘ 38* p' m` Act of Congress approved September thirtieth, nineteen hundred and thirteen (38 Stat., 113), entitled "An Act To authorize the President to provide a method for opening lands restored from reservation or wit drawal, and for other %urposes;" Now, therefore, I, WOO ROW WILSON, President of the United ${33 di*¤*g*g'*°d· States of America, bg! virtue of the ower in me vested by the Act of '30'p` ` Congress approved une fourth, ei Ihteen hundred and ninety-seven (30 tat., 11 at 34 and 36), entitled "An Act Makin appropriations for sundry civil expenses of the Govemment for tie fiscal ending June thirtieth, eighteen hundred and ninety-eigkht, and for other purposesf do proclaim that the boundaries of the Teton National orest are here y changed to exclude the areas indicated as eliminations on the diagram hereto annexed and forming a part hereof. And I do further proclaim and make known that in my judgment Stfrgglfggulgggtw it is proper and necessary in the interest of e ual opportunity and ` good administration that all of such excludedqlands subject to disposition should be restored to settlement in advance of entry, and V geursuant to the authority reposed in me by the aforesaid Act of °"38’P'm' ptember thirtieth, nineteen hundred and thirteen, I do hereby direct and provide that such lands, subject to valid rights and the provisions of existing withdrawals, shall be opened and become '1‘im¤¤¢¤p•¤i¤¢. subject to settlement only; under the general provisions of the homestead laws, at and after, ut not before, nine o’clock a. m., standard time, on the sixty-third day after the date of this proclamation; and to entry and other disposition; under any public and law applicable thereto, at and after but not before, nine o’clock a. m., on the ninety- firslt day afte}1; said date. f th I d b md h _ www _ tm ersons w o go upon any 0 e an to e resto as erem . j .¤s¤¤¤ provided and perform any act of settlement thereon from and includ- iinagiilg pm, to Somoing the date of this proc amation until nine o’clock a. m., standard time, on the sixty-third day from and after the date hereof, or who are on or are occupying any part of such lands at said hour, except those having vali su >sisting settlement rights initiated prior to reservation and since maintained, and those having preferences to make entry under the provisions of the Act of Congress approved June eleventh, nineteen hundred and six (34 Stat., 233), entitled l ul " An Act To provide for the entry of Agricultural lands within forest $S{_$.4,°{,’T°z!,,§‘T°°s‘ reserves," and Acts amendatory, will be considered and dealt with as trespassers and preference wil be lgiven the prior legal zipplicant, _ notwithstanding such unlawful sett ement or occupancy: rovided, ,0§;,*§¤*¤°**°¤5 at however, that nothing herein shall prevent persons from going upon and over the lands to examine them with a view thereafter to going upon and making settlement thereon when the lands shall become P_ mem ut subject thereto in accordance with this proclamation.
