Outfits.For the outfits of a chargé des affaires at Peru and Guatemala, nine thousand dollars.

Secretaries of legation.For the salaries of the secretaries of legation, fourteen thousand dollars.

Contingent expenses.For the contingent expenses of all the missions abroad, thirty thousand dollars.

Agents of claims at London and Paris.For the salaries of the agents of claims at London and Paris, four thousand dollars.

Expense of foreign intercourse.For the contingent expenses of foreign intercourse, forty thousand dollars.

Seamen.For the relief and protection of distressed American seamen in foreign countries, thirty-five thousand dollars.

Intercourse with the Barbary powers.For the expenses of intercourse with the Barbary powers, thirty thousand dollars.

Commissioner, &c., under treaty of Ghent.For the salaries of the commissioner and arbitrator under the first article of the treaty of Ghent, one half the salaries of the secretary, clerk, and messengers, and half the contingent expenses of the commission, ten thousand three hundred and thirty-seven dollars.
