All that territory formerly a péxrt of the town of Buffalo, in the Desmpmm county of Buffalo and State of isconsin, which lies northerly and ` westerly of the following—described line, to wit: Commencing at the point in the center line of the main channel of the Mississippi River above Island Numbered Seventy-two, where the center line of the channel running between Island Numbered Seventy-two and Island Numbered Seventy-one intersects the center line of said main channel, and thence easterly and southeasterly along the center line of the channe between said islands and between said Island Numbered Seventy-two and the main Wisconsin shore to the centerline of the main channel of said river, being lot numbered three inscction numbered one, township numbered eighteen north, of range numbered eleven west of the fourth principal meridian, and commonly known and described as Island Numbered Seventy-two in the Mississi i River, duly made by the act of the Le `slature of the State of wisconsin known as chapter sixty-four of tile session laws of nineteen hundred and seventeen, approved April ninth, nineteen hundred and seventeen, and assented to and accepted by the State of Minnesota by act I of its le `slature, known as chapter one hundred and sixteen of the session Ewa of nineteen hundred and seventeen, approved March twenty-sixth, nineteen hundred and seventeen, an authenticated copy of which act has been duly filed in the office of the secretary of state of the State of Wisconsin, and by the written acceptance of the governor of the State of Minnesota Bled in the office of the secretgy of state of the State of Wisconsin on the twenty-fourth day of Ap , nineteen hundred and seventeen; and the boundary line between the said States at the location of said cession is hereby described and declared to be as follows, to wit: Commencin at the oint of intersection of the center line of the main channeI of the Riississi pi River with the center line of the channel running between Island Igumbered Seventy-two and Island Numbered Seventy-one and running thence easterly and southeasterly along the center line of the channel between said islands and between said Island Numbered Seventy- two and the main Wisconsin shore to the center line of the main channel of said river. _ _ Sec. 2. That Congress hereby consents to, and approves of, the »i$¤°$?QIi¤°ii»mw(iSsfi~Z?Z cession by the State of Minnesota to the State of isconsin of the ¤‘¤ ¢¤¤¤¤¤¤>- following·described territory, to wit: _ _ All that territory formerly a part of the town of La Crescent, in the D°°°"*’°°“‘ county of Houston and State of Minnesota, which lies easterly of the following—described line, to wit: Commencing in the northeast quarter of section numbered eleven, township numbered one_hundred and four north, range numbered four west of the fifth principlal meridian, at the point of intersection of the center line of the westc anne] of the Mississippi River with the center line of the main east channel of said river an running thence southeasterly along the center line of said west channel to its intersection with the center line of said east channel of said river in the easterly part of section numbered twenty- four in said township and range, duly made by the act of the Legislature of the State of Minnesota known as chapter one hundred and sixteen of the session laws of nineteen hundred and seventeen, approved March twenty-sixth, nineteen hundred and seventeen, and assented to and accepted by the State of Wisconsin by act of its legis-
