For purchase of new books of reference for the Supreme Court, to be a part of the Library of Congress, and purchased by the marshal of the Supreme Court, under the direction of the Chief Justice, $2,500 . PRINTING AND BINDING For miscellaneous printing and binding for the Library of Con- gress, including the Copyright Office, and the binding, rebinding, and repairing of library books, and for the Library Building, $196,0 00 . CONTINGENT EXPENSES OF THE LIBRARY For miscellaneous and contingent expenses, stationery, supplies, stoc k, an d mat erial s di rectl y pur chas ed, m iscel lane ous t ravel ing expenses, postage, transportation, incidental expenses connected with the administration of the Library and Copyright Office, including not exceeding $500 for expenses of attendance at meetings when incurred on the written authority and direction of the Librarian, $13,000. L IBRAR Y BUI LDING Salaries : For the superintendent, disbursing officer, and other personal services, $148,247. For e xtra servi ces of em ploye es a nd ad ditio nal e mplo yees under the Librarian to provide for the opening of the Library Building on Sundays and on legal holidays, at rates to be fixed by the Librarian, $4,700. For special and temporary services in connection with the custody, care, and maintenance of the Library Building, including extra special services of regular employees at the discretion of the Libra- rian, at rates to be fixed by the Librarian, $500 . For mail, delivery, and telephone services, rubber boots and rubber coats for workmen, stationery, uniforms for guards, miscellaneous supplies, and all other incidental expenses in connection with the custody and maintenance of the Library Building, $7,000 . For any expense of the Library of Congress Trust Fund Board not properly chargeable to the income of any trust fund held by the b oard, $500.
