CH A P . 71 2 .-Joint Resolution T o amend the Act entit led "An Act to provi de [Pub . Res., No. 105 .] for the submission to the Congress of preliminary plans and estimates of costs for the construction of a building for the Supreme Court of the United States," approved December 21, 1928 . Resolved by the Senate and House o f Representatives o f the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Act entitled "An Act to provide for the submission to the Congress of preliminary plans and estimates of costs for the construction of a building for the Supreme Court of the United States," approved December 21, 1928, is amended by adding at the end thereof the following new section " SEc. 4. Notwithstanding the provisions of section 1, any indi- vidual who on March 3, 1929, is a member of the commission by virtue of a com mittee chair mansh ip or rankin g min ority member ship as above specified, shall, despite the expiration of his term of office as a Member of the Senate or House of Representatives, continue to serve as a member of the commission until the completion of the building . In the event of the death or resignation of any such member, the provisions of section 1 shall be applicable with respect to successors of such member ." Approved, March 4, 1929 . March 4, 1929 . [S. States that i ts air port fa cilitie s shou ld be a dequate for p resent and anticipated aviation need s in order th at Washington' s equipment in this respect should serve maximum Capital requirements and reflect the Capital's national leadership ; and Whereas this important problem involves not only municipal facili- ties but also Federal facilities and a proper consideration of the relationships between them ; and Whereas comprehensive inquiry and recommendation require simul- taneous study of such ports and fields as may be maint ained for the use and be nefit of the War Department , the Navy De partment, the Po st Off ice De partm ent, t he Com merce Depar tment, and t he municipality ; a n d Whereas this multilateral problem involves considerations ordinarily referred to several separate committees in the Senate and the House of Representatives : Therefore be it Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United compoblin ofnt and States o f America in Congress assembled, That there is hereby estab- lished a joint congressional commission to be known as the Joint Commission on Airports and to be composed of five Senators, appointed by the President of the Senate, and five Members elect of the House of Representatives for the Seventy-first Congress, CH A P . 71 3 .-Joint Resolution T o establish a Joint C ommission on Airport s .
