United States off America in Congress assembled, That the consent of atv untters i2o Congress is hereby granted to the highway department of the State of Alabama to construct, maintain, and operate a . free highway bridge and approaches thereto across the Tennessee River at a point suitable to the interests of navigation at or near Guntersville on the Const ruction .

Guntersville-Huntsville Road in Marshall County, in the State of Vol.34,p.84. Alabama, in accordance with the provisions of the Act entitled "An Act to regulate the construction of bridges over navigable waters," approved March 23, 1906 . Amend ment.

CHAP. 176 .-An Act To authorize the maintenance and renewal of a timber [Public, No . 131 .] frame trestle in place of a fixed span at the Wisconsin end of the steel bridge of the Duluth and Superior Bridge Company over the Saint Louis River between the States of Wisconsin and Minnesota. CA, 228 . steel span of the bridge of the said Duluth and Superior Bridge Com- pany across the Saint Louis River between Rices Point, Minnesota, and Conn ors Point, Wis cons in, b uilt purs uant to Ac ts of Con gress approved, respectively, April 24, 1894, and August 4, 1894, which three-hundred-foot steel span adjoined the Wisconsin end of the draw span of said bridge and was heretofore destroyed by a steam- ship collision, with a twenty-two span frame trestle, which has now been erected under temporary permit from the Secretary of War of the United States; and to maintain said twenty-two span frame trestle in place of the said metal span and as a part of the bridge provided for in said Acts of Congress; and to replace the said twenty-two span frame trestle from time to time as the same may
