Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the 'United States o f America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of War is authorized and directed to erect a tablet or marker in com- memoration of William Rufus King, former Vice President of the United States, at the place of his birth, Clinton, Sampson County, North Carolina, on ground f urnished by s uch town, afte r the plans and specifications for such tablet or marker have been submitted to and approved by the Commission of Fine Arts . . SEC . 2 . There is authorized to be appropriated, out of any money in the Treasur y not otherwi se appropriat ed, the sum of $2,500, or so much thereof as may be necessary, to carry out the provisions of this Act.
