Aest, etc., of of- !, .,F or. [CHAPTER 163 .] JOINT RESOLUTION To authorize the acceptance on behalf of the United States of the bequest of the late William F . Edgar, of Los Angeles County, State of California, for the bene- fit of the museum and library connected with the office of the Surgeon General of the United States Army . Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States o f America in Congress assembled, That the S urgeon Gene ral of the United States Army be, and is hereby, authorized to accept the beq uest of the late William F . Edgar, of Los Angeles County, California, as contained in his will and testament and codicil thereto and such interest as may have accrued on the funds covered by such bequest, and to receipt therefor on behalf of the United States and to deposit the funds so received in the Treasury of the United States as a special fund dedicated to the purposes stated in said codicil, copy of which shall be filed in the General Accounting Office, said fund to be subject to disbursement for such purposes upon vouchers submitted by the Surgeon General of the United States Army under authority of the Secretary of War and to be available until expended . [CHAPTER 179 .] AN ACT To authorize an appropria tion for the purchase of land in Sout h Dakota for use as camp sites or rifle ranges for the National Guard of said State . Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States o f America in Congress assembled, Th at a sum not to exceed $14,000 is hereby authorized to be appropriated, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the purchase of camp sites or rifle ranges in the State of South Dakota, for the use of the National Guard of said State . All pu rchas e of land und er this Act shal l be mad e by the Secretar y of War pursuan t to law governing the acquisition of land for the use of the National Guard . Ap proved, Mar ch 2, 1933 . [CHAPTER 180 .] AN ACT To provide for the protection of national military parks, national parks, battle- field sites, national monuments, and miscellaneous memorials under the control of the War Department. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States o f America in Congress assembled, Tha t the Se cretary of War is hereby authorized to prescribe and publish such regula- tions as he deems necessary for the proper government and protection of, an d mai ntena nce of good order in, natio nal m ilitar y par ks, national parks, battlefield sites, national monuments, and mis- cellaneous memorials as are now or hereafter may be under the control of the War Departme nt; and any per son who know ingl y and willfully violates any such regulation shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and punishable by a fine of not more than $100 or by imprisonment for not more than three months, or by both such fine and imprisonment. SEC . 2. That the commissioners, superintendents, caretakers, officers, or guards of such national military parks, national parks, battlefi eld site s, natio nal monu ments an d miscell aneous m emorials , or any of them, are authorized to make arrests for violations of any
