Granting certain lands to the board of commissioners of the Orleans levee district [H.R . 9779 .1 in the city of New Orleans, State of Louisiana, for levee and street purposes .
[Public, No. 97.1 Be it enacted by the Senate and House o f Representatives o f the United States o f America in Congress assembled, That the following- i w Orlealeveeaana described land, to wit : A strip of land two hundred and ten and street purposes granted two one-hundredths feet in length and thirty feet in depth, fronting to' on North Peters Street, between Barracks Street and Esplanade Avenue, being a part of the Old Mint Site, transferred to the control and custody of the Department of Justice by the Secretary of the Treasury on May 15, 1 931, and shown on a plan made b' the chief engi neer of the Board of Levee Comm issi oner s, d ated Jan uary 2, 1932, be, and the same is hereby, granted to the board of commis- sioners of the Orleans levee district, of New Orleans, Louisiana, for levee and street purposes ; and the Attorney General is, upon the passage of this Act, authorized to execute a proper quit-claim deed upon due proof of the organization and legal existence of the board of commissioners of the Orleans levee district . SEC. 2. T hat the said land s are gr anted so lely for levee a nd stree t Reversion for non . purposes, and shall revert to and become the property of the United user . States of America, if used for any purpose whatsoever other than or foreign to those for which this donation is made . SEC. 3.
