SE C. 56c . That section 212 of the Penal Code of the Canal Zone is hereb y ame nded to re ad as foll ows Attempti ng to pro . " SEC. 212. "SEC. 218 . Bigamy is punishable as a felony ." SEC . 57. That section 220 of the Penal Code of the Canal Zone is hereby amended to re ad as fo ll ows Incest.

That chapter V of title XII of the Penal Code of the Canal Zone is hereby amended by inserting therein after section 223 a new section numbered 223a to read as follows Crimes against ehil- "SEC. 223a . Any person who shall willfully and lewdly commit any dren . lew d orr lascivious act other tha n the a cts constLuting other crimes pro vi ded for in th is co de up on or w ith the bo dy, or any pa rt or m em- ber thereof, of a ch ild under the age of thirteen years, with the intent of arousing, appealing to, or gratifying the lu st or passions or sexual Punishment for, de sir es of s uch person or of such child, shall be guilty of a felony and shall be im pri so ned in the penitentiary for a ter m not exceeding ten years" SEC. 60 . That section 227 of the Penal Code of the Canal Zone is hereby amended to read as foll ows•~
