[Puniic, No . 370.] Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That in order to Savannah River . promo te in tersta e com merce, imp rove t he po stal srvice, and prov ide Georgia may bridge, at Liolnton. for military and other purposes, the State of Georgia be, and is hereby, authorized to construct, maintain, and operate a bridge and approaches thereto across the Savannah River, at a point suitable to the interests of navigation, at or near Lincolnton, Georgia, and betw een Linc olnt on, Georgia, and McCormick, Sou th C arol ina, in Co X34, p.0 84. accordance with the provisions of the Act entitled "An Act to reg- ulate the constr uctio n of bridg es ove r nav igabl e wate rs," appro ved March 23, 1906, and s ubjec t to the co nditi ons a nd lim itati ons c on- tained in this Act.
Acq uisition of real j SEc . 2 . There is hereby conferred upon the State of Georgia all estate, eto ., for location, such rights and powers to enter upon lands and to acquire, condemn, approaches, etc' occupy, possess, and use real estate and other property needed for the location, construction, maintenance, and operation of such bridge and its approaches, as are possessed by railroad corporations for railroad purposes or by bridge corporations for bridge purposes in the State in which such real estate or other property is situated, upon making ust compensation therefor, to be ascertained and paid according to the laws of such State, and the proceedings therefor shall be the ,edLossmnatien pm same as in the condemnation or expropriation of property for public purp oses in suc h Sta te.
