AN ACT Providing for payment of $25 to each enrolled Chippewa Indian of Minnesota from the funds st anding to th eir credit in the Treasur y of the Uni ted States . Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the ehippewa Indians of United States o f America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary MP r Capita payment of the Interior is authorized and directed to withdraw from the to, from tri bal funds . Treasury so much as may be necessary of the principal fund on deposit to the credit of the Chippewa Indians in the State of Minne- sota under section 7 of the Act entitled "An Act for the relief and civilization of the Chippewa Indians in the State of Minnesota ", approved January 14, 1889, as amended, and to make therefrom payment of $25 to each enrolled Chippewa Indian of Minnesota, under such regulations as such Secretary shall prescribe . No pay- ments shall be made under this Act until the Chippewa Indians of Minnesota shall, in such manner as such Secretary shall prescribe, have accepted such payments and ratified the provisions of this Act . The money paid to the Indians under this Act shall not be subject to any lien or claim of whatever nature against any of said Indians . Approved, May 7, 1934 . May 7, 1934 . [CHAPTER 222 .1 AN ACT To provide for the custody and maintenance of the United States Supreme Court Building and the equipment and grounds thereof . Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Architect of the Capitol shall have charge of the structural and mechanical care of the United States Supreme Court Building, including the care and maintenance of the grounds, and the supplying of all mecha nical furn ishi ngs a nd me chan ical equip ment for the b uildi ng . The operation and maintenance of the mechanical equipment and repair of the build ing sh all be perfo rmed un der hi s dire ction and he is author ized to e nter into all nece ssary con tracts . SEC . 2 . Employees required for the performance of the foregoing shall be (a) appointed by the Architect of the Capitol with the approval of the Chief Justice of the United States ; (b) compensated in acco rdance with the pr ovisio ns of the Cla ssific ation Act of 1 923, as amended (U.S.C., Supp. VI, title 5, ch. 13) ; and (c) be subject to the provisions of the Act entitled "An Act for the retirement of employees in the classified civil service, and for other purposes ", approved May 22, 1920, as amended (U.S.C., Supp . VI, title 5, ch. 14). SEC . 3 . All other duties and work required for the operation, domestic care, and custody of the building shall be performed under the direction of the Marshal of the Supreme Court of the United States, who shall be superintendent of the United States Supreme Court Building, and employees (including elevator operators) required for the performance of such duties shall be appointed by the Marshal with the approval of the Chief Justice . SEc. 4. Appropriations for the work under the jurisdiction of the Architect of the Capitol shall be disbursed by the Marshal upon certified vouchers submitted by the Architect of the Capitol .
