S. C., title 15, sees. 251-256), the Act entitled "An Act to fix standards for hampers, round stave baske ts, and splint ba skets for fruits and vegetables, and for other purposes ", approved May 21, 1928 (U. S. C., Supp. VII, title 15, sees . 257-257i), and the Act entitled "An Act to prevent the destruction or dumping, without good and sufficient cause there- for, of farm prod uce received in i nterstate commerc e by commission merchants and others and to require them truly and correctly to account for all f arm produce recei ved by them ", ap proved March 3, 192 7 (U . S . C ., Supp . VII, title 7, sees . 491-497), including the pur- chase of such perishable farm products as may be necessary for detection of violations of the latter Act : Provided, That all receipts from the sale of such products shall be credited to this appropriatio n, and shall be reexpendable therefrom, and including the employment of such persons a nd means as the S ecretary of Agric ulture may deem necessary in the city of Washingto n and elsewhere, $30,238 . W OOL MARKETING ST UDI ES No t to e xceed $27, 652 of the funds coll ected from perso ns, fi rms, or corporations which handled any part of the wool clip of 1918, which the Secretary of Agriculture finds it impracticable to distribute among woolgrowers, shall be deposited in the Treasury to the credit of a special fund which is hereby appropriated for the fiscal year 1936 for the purpose of carrying into effect the provisions of the Act entitled "An Act to authorize the appropriation for use by the Secre- tary of Agriculture of certain funds for wool standards, and for other purposes ", approved May 17, 1928 (U. S . C ., Supp . VII, title 7, sees . 415b 115d), including personal services and other necessary expenses in the District of Columbia and elsewhere . Total, Bureau of Agricultural Economics, $5,724,801, of which amount not to exc eed $2,132,215 ma y be expended for personal serv- ices in the District of Columbia, and not to exceed $22,200 shall be avai lable for the pur chase of motor-pr opelled and horse -drawn pas- senger-carrying vehicles necessary in the conduct of field work out- side the District of Columbia . BUREAU OF H OME ECONOMICS SALARIES AND EXP ENS ES General adm inistrative expe nses : For necessary expenses for gen- eral administrative purposes, including the salary of chief of bureau and other personal services in the District of Columbia, $26,135 . Home-economics investigations : For conducting, either inde- pe ndent ly or in co opera tion with o ther agenc ies, invest igati ons o f the relative utility and economy of agricultural products for food, clothing, and other uses in the home, with special suggestions of plan s and methods for the more effecti ve utilization of such prod- ucts for these purposes, and for disseminating useful information on this subject, including travel and all other necessary expenses, $167,350 .
