[Private, No. 582.] Be it e1UUJted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Oongress aBse'lTlhled, That the Secretary ~':::;le~~eI~n. of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to pay, out of any money in the Treasury of the United States not other- wise appropriated, to Sarah Shelton, of Granite City, Illinois, tho sum of $5,000 in full settlement of all claims against the United States for the death of her husband, William Shelton, who was killed by being run down by a launch under the control and charge of the deputy collector of customs, at Saint Louis, Missouri, while said deputy collector was in the exercise and discharge of his official duties: Provided, That no part of the amount appropriated in this n:iion on attor- Act in excess of 10 per centum thereof shall be paId or delivered to or ney's , etc., fees. received by any agent or agents! attorney or attorneys, on account of services rendered in connectIOn with said claim.
