Be it enacted by t he Senate and House of Re presentatives of th e United States of America in Congress assembled, That in the case of any person w o was employed by any corporation, all of the stock of which was owned by the Federal Subsistence Homesteads Corpo- ration of Delaware, and who was tran sferred to a position in the Department of the Interior with the same or substantially similar duties but at an incr ease in his rate of compensat ion, if there have been heretofore withheld or deducted from any amounts, otherwise payabl e to such person out of G overnment funds, any amou nt on account of any payment of salary to such person, subsequently dis- allowed or held to have been illegally made under any decision of the Comptroller General that such transfer to such position in the Department of the Interior constituted an administrative promotion within the provisions of section 7, as amended and extended, of the Treasury-Post Off ice Appropriation Act, fiscal year 1934, the Secre- tary of the Treasury is authorized and directed to pay, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to such person a sum equal to the amount so withheld or deducted. SEC . 2 . Each person referred to in section 1, and each disbursing officer who made any payments of salary referred to in such section to any such person, is hereby released from any liability to refund or pay to the Government, or otherwise discharge, any amount on account of any such payment of salary to such person, subsequently disallowed or held to have been illegally made under any decision of the Comptroller General that the transfer of such person to such position in the Department of the Interior constituted an adminis- trative promotion within the provisions of sec tion 7, as amended and extended, of the Treasury-Post Office Appropri ation Act, fiscal year 1934, and no deduction shall be made from any amount due or payable out of Government funds to any such person or disbursing officer by reason of any such decision, Approved, August 28, 1937 . 47 Stat. 1515 . 871 August 28, 1937 [H. [Public, No . 402] Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States o f America in Congress assembled, That all lands purchased from funds heretofore allocated and made available by Executive ord er, or otherwise, for the acq uisition of lands for con- servation or forestation purposes within the maximum boundaries of the Mamm oth Cave National Park as authori zed by th e Act of May 25, 1926 (44 Stat . 635), be, and the same are hereby, made a part of the said park as fully as if originally acquired for that purpose and the proviso at the end of section 1 of said Act of May 25, 1926, shall not be construed so as to prohibit the acquisition of lands in said area under funds made available as aforesaid . SEC . 2 . The Secretary of the Interior is hereby authorized, in his disc retion, to ex clude the Gre at Onyx Cave and the Cryst al Cave, or e ither of them , from the ma ximum boundar ies of the sa id park, and the area required for general development of the said park by section 1 of the Act of May 14, 1934 (48 Stat . 775), is hereby modified accordingly .
