Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to pay, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to S. T. Roebuck, of Newton, Mississippi, the sum of $325 in full satis- faction of all his claims against the United States for damages to his automobile which were sustained as a result of an unavoidable acci- dent on United States-Mississippi Highway Numbered 80, between Morton, Mississippi, and Pelahatchie, Mississippi, on December 1, 1934, while using his own car, traveling under orders of his superior on Government business as an employee of the Federal Housing Administration: Provided, That no part of the amount appropriated in this Act in excess of 10 per centum thereof shall be paid or deliv- ered to or received by any agent or attorney on account of services rendered in connection with this claim, and the same shall be unlaw- ful, any contract to the contrary notwithstanding. Hicks. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the limita- tions of time in sections 15 to 20, both inclusive, of the Act entitled "An Act to provide compensation for employees of the United States suffering injuries while in the performance of their duties, and for other purposes", approved September 7, 1916, as amended, are hereby waived in favor of Ephriam J. Hicks, of Vicksburg, Mississippi and the Employees' Compensation Commission is hereby authorized and directed to receive and consider under the remaining provisions of said Act his claim on account of injury and disability alleged to have been incurred on or about July 11, 1933, while performing his duties as a laborer for the United States Engineer Office, Vicksburg, Mississippi: Provided, That claim hereunder shall be filed within six months from the approval of this Act: Provided further, That no benefits shall accrue prior to the approval of this Act.
