R . 4772] [Public, No. 73] AN ACT To provide for the appraisal of the pneumatic mail tube systems in New York and Boston. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,That the Postmaster General is authorized and directed to provide for an appraisal by competent engineers of the properties comprising the pneumatic mail tube systems in New York and Boston and the franchises enjoyed and patent rights utilized in connection therewith. SEc. 2. There is authorized to be appropriated, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, such sum as may be necessary to carry out this Act, but not to exceed $25,000. [CHAPTER 127] AN ACT To amend an Act entitled "An Act for making further and more effectual pro- vision for the national defense, and for other purposes", approved June 3, 1916, as amended by the Act of June 4, 1920, so as to confer on the commanding gen- eral, General Headquarters Air Force, the same retirement privileges now enjoyed by chiefs of branches. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Act entitled "An Act for making further and more effectual provision for the national defense, and for other purposes", approved June 8, 1916, as amended by the Act of June 4, 1920 (41 Stat. 762), be, and the same is hereby, amended by inserting immediately after the word "branch", in line 27 of section 4c of that Act, as amended, the words "or as commanding general of the General Headquarters Air Force", and by inserting in line 29 of said section, immediately preceding the word "grade", the word "highest", and immediately after the word "chief", the words "or commanding general of the General Head- quarters Air Force".
