I note with pleasure Your Excellency's statement that there is no present intention of extending preferential tariff treatment to products in Aden, Gibraltar, the Straits Settlements and Hong Kong in addi- tion to those mentioned in your note. YOU EXCELLTENCY, I have the honour to inform you that, as the result of conversations which have taken place in the course of the negotiation of the Trade Agreement signed this day, the Government of the United Kingdom will consult the parties to the International Rubber Regulation Agreement as to the possibility, subject to the main objects of the Agreement as set out in the Preamble thereto not being prejudiced, of amending the Agreement so as to permit the exportation of rubber planting material to countries not parties to it.
