DIVISION OF EXPENSES The foregoing sums for the District of Columbia, unless otherwise therein specifically provided, shall be paid out of the revenues of the District of Columbia and the Treasury of the United States in the manner prescribed by the District of Columbia Appropriation Acts for the respective fiscal years for which such sums are provided. DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE OFFICE OF THE SECRETARY The Secretary of Agriculture is authorized, during the fiscal year 1942, to make microfilm or other photographic reproductions of books and other library materials in the Department of Agriculture and sell such reproductions at such prices (not less than estimated cost of furnishing same) as he may determine, the money received from such sales to be deposited in the Treasury to the credit of the appro- priation charged with the cost of making such reproductions. FOREST SERVICE Forest-fire control (emergency): For all necessary expenses to enable the Secretary of Agriculture, independently or in cooperation with the various States or other appropriate agencies or individuals, to intensify and augment forest-fire prevention and suppression measures in critical areas on Federal, State, county, municipal, or private lands, including the purchase, exchange, operation, and maintenance of passenger-carrying vehicles, and not to exceed $12,000 for personal services in the District of Columbia, fiscal year 1942, $1,100,000: Provided, That there shall not be expended from this appropriation on non-Federal lands in any State any amount in excess of the amount made available by the State, or private agencies, or individuals for the purposes of this appropriation: Provided further, That nothing in section 3 of the "Act making appropriations for the Department of Agriculture for the fiscal year ending June 30 1942, and for other purposes" shall be construed to require an affidavit from any person employed for less than sixty days by the Department for sudden emergency work involving the loss of human life or destruction of property, and payment of salary or wages may be made to such persons from applicable appropriations for services rendered in such emergency without execution of the affidavit con- templated by said section 3. AGRICULTURAL MARKETING SERVICE Tobacco Inspection and Tobacco Stocks and Standards Acts: For an additional amount, fiscal year 1942, to enable the Secretary of Agriculture to carry into effect the provisions of "The Tobacco Inspection Act" (7 U. S. C. 511-511q), including the objects specified under this heading in the Department of Agriculture Appropriation Act, 1942, $131,000, of which not to exceed $1,500 may be expended for the purchase of passenger-carrying vehicles. COMMODITY CREDIT CORPORATION Salaries and administrative expenses: For an additional amount for salaries and administrative expenses, Commodity Credit Corporation, [55 STAT.
