Effective Date, Adherence and Denunciation The present Agreement will enter into effect the first day of July, nineteen hundred and forty, for the countries which may have approve it, but also remains open for the adherence of any other American country. Any country which may wish to withdraw must denounce it with a notice of at least one year in advance. Approvals, adherences and denunciations must be communicated through diplomatic channels to the Government of Chile which will transmit them to the other interested Governments. In witness whereof, the respective delegates have signed copies of this instrument, one each in Spanish, English, Portuguese and French,[l] to be deposited in the archives of the Government of Chile, which shall forward an authenticated copy thereof in each language to the other contracting Governments.
