S. 329] AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE GOVERNMENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA AND THE GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUB- LIC OF GUATEMALA In conformity with the request of the Government of the Repub- lic of Guatemala to the Govern- ment of the United States of Amer- ica, the President of the United States of America has authorized the appointment of an officer of the United States Army to serve in the Republic of Guatemala under the conditions specified be- low: TITLE I Duties and Duration ARTICLE 1. The Government of the United States of America shall place at the disposal of the Gov- ernment of the Republic of Guate- mala the technical and professional services of an officer of the United States Army to serve as Director of the Polytechnic School of the Republic of Guatemala. ARTICLE 2. The officer de- tailed to this duty by the Gov- ernment of the United States of America shall be Lieutenant Colo- nel William H. Hennig or another officer of similar qualifications in replacement if necessary as may mutually be agreed upon by the Government of the United States of America and the Government of the Republic of Guatemala. ACUERDO ENTRE EL GOBIERNO DE LOS ESTADOS UNIDOS DE AMERICA Y EL GOBIERNO DE LA REPUBLICA DE GUATEMALA De conformidad con la solicitud del Gobierno de la Repdblica de Guatemala al Gobierno de los Estados Unidos de America, el Presidente de los Estados Unidos de America ha autorizado el nom- bramiento de un oficial del Ej6r- cito de los Estados Unidos para prestar servicios en la Repdblica de Guatemala de acuerdo con las condiciones estipuladas a conti- nuaci6n: TfTULO I Servicios y Duracidn ARTfCULO 1. El Gobierno de los Estados Unidos de America pon- dra a la disposici6n del Gobierno de la Repdblica de Guatemala los servicios tecnicos y profesionales de un oficial del Ej6rcito de los Estados Unidos que actuara como Director de la Escuela Politecnica de la Repdblica de Guatemala. ARTfCULO 2. El oficial que el Gobierno de los Estado Unidos de America ha de designar para este cometido sera el Teniente Coronel William H. Hennig u otro oficial igualmente id6neo en su reem- plazo si fuere necesario, segun dispongan por mutuo acuerdo el Gobierno de los Estados Unidos de America y el Gobierno de la Repdblica de Guatemala.
