58 STAT.] 78TH CONG. , 2D SSS.-CHSS 14-16 --FB. 12, 14 , 1944 [CHAPTER 14] AN ACT To revive and reenact the Act entitled "An Act creating the Arkansas-Mississippi Bridge Commission; defining the authority, power, and duties of said Com- mission; and authorizing said Commission and its successors and assigns to construct, maintain, and operate a bridge across the Mississippi River at or near Friar Point, Mississippi, and Helena, Arkansas, and for other purposes", approved May 17, 1939. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Act approved May 17, 1939, heretofore extended by Acts of Congress approved May 27, 1940, and July 14, 1941, creating the Arkansas- Mississippi Bridge Commission and authorizing such Commission to construct, maintain, and operate a bridge and approaches thereto across the Mississippi River, at or near Friar Point, Mississippi, and Helena, Arkansas, be, and is hereby, revived and reenacted: Provided That this Act shall be null and void unless the actual construction of the bridge herein referred to be commenced within one year and completed within three years from the date of approval hereof.
