Acmfgth May Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the 1320, cb, 71, m United States ez America in Congress assembled, That the act, entitled bs ¤¤ ¤¢>¤¤¤‘¤¢d “An act for the relief of the legal representatives of Henry Willis," 2:0:,2 $:2:2;:1 passed on the eighth day of May, one thousand eight hundred and gown 10;,, &,c_ twenty, be so construed as to except from location all town lots and lands now or hereafter reserved by the United States, or which may have been, or may be, appropriated by Congress for the use of any state, or for any other purpose, and that the location be made within two years from the passagp of this act. Be it enacted, dye., That the proper accounting officers of the treacmm ,-0, sury department be, and they are hereby, authorized and directed to goods destroyed pay to Elias Parks, of Oswego, in the state of New York, the amount $,:,814 ‘° bs of his claim against the United States, for goods destroyed by the Bri- ' tish, in the year one thousand eight hundred and fourteen, in consequence of the boat in which said goods had been placed being impressed, Promo by military authority, into the service of the United States: Provided, ' however, That no allowance shall be made to the said Elias Parks for the loss of his account books: And, before he shall be entitled to the _ payment hereby directed to be made, he shall produce, to the account- S**;.°f°;‘°*;’z ing officers, satisfactory proof that the goods, for the loss of which he pgzzstwgrc ig claims, were in the boat, and that the price at which they are charged ine boat, ccc. is just and reasonable.
