Lewis, the sum of Patentfees to fifteen dollars, being the amount of money paid by him into the treasury b° F¤*·¤¤d°d· of the United States, as fees, on the surrender by him of a patent, granted the twenty-sixth day of June, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty-six, for the purpose of correction and re-issue; his application for a re-issue having been denied at the Patent Office, and he, thereby, having been deprived of the benefit of his said patent for the residue of the term remaining unexpired.
