JOINT MEETING Resolved by the House of Representatives (the Senate concurring), That Monday, the 1st day of July 1946, be set aside as the day upon which there shall be held a joint session of the Senate and the House of Representatives for appropriate exercises in commemoration of the life, character, and public service of the late Franklin D. Roosevelt, former President of the United States. That a joint committee, to consist of three Senators and five Mem- bers of the House of Representatives, to be appointed by the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Represent- atives, respectively, shall be named, with full power to make all arrangements and publish a suitable program for the joint session of Congress herein authorized, and to issue the invitations hereinafter mentioned.
