COMMISSIONED OFFICERS, PAY , AND SO FORTH For an additional amount, fiscal year 1943, for "Commissioned officers, pay, and so forth", $2,429.57 GENERAL SERVICES ADMINISTRATION PUBLIC BUILDINGS ADMINISTRATION For expenses necessary for the renovation and improvement of federally owned buildings outside the District of Columbia, for which funds are not otherwise available, including appurtenances and approaches thereto, that are under the control of the Public Buildings Administration for repair and preservation, as authorized by title III of the Act of June 16 1949 (Public Law 105), including personal serv- ices in the District of Columbia, $10,000,000, to remain available until expended: Provided, That not to exceed $500,000 of the foregoing appropriation shall be available for administrative expenses. For expenses necessary for the acquisition of sites and the prepara- tion of drawings and specifications for Federal public building proj- ects outside the District of Columbia, as authorized and provided for by title I of the Act of June 16, 1949 (Public Law 105), and by the Act of May 25, 1926 (44 Stat. 630), as amended, including personal services in the District of Columbia, $12,000,000, to remain available until expended: Provided, That not to exceed $600,000 of the fore- going appropriation shall be available for administrative expenses. For an additional amount for "Improvement of post office facilities, Los Angeles, California", as authorized by the Act of June 29, 1948 (Public Law 832), and the Act of August 17, 1949 (Public Law 238), $760,000, to remain available until expended.
