CITY DELIVERY CARRIERS For personal services of carriers in the city delivery service, and employees in the United States official mail and messenger service, $393,000,000. SPECIAL DELIVERY SERVICE For personal services of and fees to special delivery messengers, $16,500,000. RURAL DELIVERY SERVICE For personal services of rural carriers, auxiliary carriers, substitutes for rural carriers on annual and sick leave, clerks in charge of rural stations, tolls and ferriage, and necessary expenses of the rural delivery service, $153,500,000, of which not less than $200,000 shall be available for extensions and new service. For personal services of fifteen general superintendents, fifteen as- sistant general superintendents, four assistant general superintendents at large, one hundred and twenty district superintendents, one hundred and twenty assistant district superintendents, and other employees in the railway mail service, $128,750,000. TRAVEL, RAILWAY MAIL SERVICE For travel allowance of the railway mail service, including travel expenses of departmental officials and employees of the railway mail service, $8,150,000. MISCELLANEOUS EXPENSES, RAILWAY MAIL SERVICE For necessary expenses of the railway mail service not otherwise provided for, $650,000.
