Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That, for the pur- pose of assisting the State of North Dakota to complete, in accordance with plans heretofore approved, the International Peace Garden established in North Dakota on the international boundary line between United States and Canada for the purpose of furthering international peace among the nations of the world, there is hereby authorized to be appropriated not to exceed the sum of $100,000. SEC. 2. Any funds appropriated pursuant hereto shall be expended only in accordance with the terms of an agreement to be entered into between the Secretary of the Interior and the State of North Dakota to govern such expenditures. Approved October 25, 1949. [CHAPTER 708] AN ACT Directing the Secretary of the Interior to convey certain land to Palm Beach County, Florida. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior is directed to sell and convey to the county of Palm Beach, Florida, certain lands for use by said county for recreational or park purposes described as follows: All of lots 4 and 5, section 5, township 41 south, range 43 east, Tallahassee meridian, Florida, as shown by plat approved April 18, 1855, except blocks 1 and 23, as represented by plat accepted December 28, 1927. SEC. 2 . Such lands shall be sold at a price not less than fifty per centum of the appraised fair market value as determined by the Sec- retary of the Interior: Provided, That title to such lands shall revert to the United States upon payment of the purchase price to said county upon a finding by the Secretary of the Interior that for a period of five consecutive years such land has not been used by said county for recreational or park purposes, or that such land or any part thereof is being devoted to other use. SEC. 3 . The patent issued under this Act shall contain a reserva- tion to the United States of all mineral deposits in the lands and of the right to prospect for, mine, and remove the same under applicable laws and under regulations to be established by the Secretary. SEC. 4 . The Act of July 3, 1926 (44 Stat. 903) is hereby repealed. Approved October 25, 1949.
