ARTICLE 9 Special Rules Relating to Particular Servies Section L Broadcasting Service 242§1. General. 243 (1) In principle, the power of broadcasting stations which employ frequencies below 5 060 kc/s must not exceed (except in the band 3 900 - 4 000 kc/s) a value which per- mits of maintaining economically an effective national service of good quality within the limits of the country concerned. 244 (2) The use by the broadcasting service of the bands listed below is restricted to the Tropical Zone as defined in 252: 2300-2498 kc/s (Region 1) 2300-2495 kc/s (Regions 2 and 3) 3 200 - 3 400 kc/s (All Regions) 4750-4995 kc/s (All Regions) 5005-5060 kc/s (All Regions) 245 §2.
