Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That, in the administration of the immigration and naturalization laws, Eric Adolf Lenze shall not be held to have lost United States citizenship under any of the provisions of the Nationality Act of 1940 providing for loss of citizenship through continuous residence in a foreign state. AN ACT For the relief of Arthur Koestler.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That, for the purposes of the immigration and naturalization laws, Arthur Koestler shall be held and considered to have been lawfully admitted to the United States for permanent residence as of the date of the enactment of this Act, upon payment of the required visa fee and head tax. Upon the granting of permanent residence to such alien as provided for in this Act, the Secretary of State shall instruct the proper quota-control officer to deduct one number from the appropriate quota for the first year that such quota is available. [NOTE BY THE FEDERAL REGISTER DIVISION.—The foregoing Act, having been presented to the Presi-

dent of the United States on Friday, August 10, 1951, for his approval and not having been returned by him to the House of Congress in which it originated within the time prescribed by the Constitution of the United States, has become a law without his approval.]
