CHAPTER 781

AN ACT For the relief of Hsieh Ta-Chuan or Der Ott-Kuan, Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That, notwithstanding the provisions of section 2 of the Act of December 17, 1943, as amended (57 Stat. 601; 60 Stat. 975, 8 U.S.C. 212 (a)), Hsieh Ta-Chuan or Der Ott-Kuan, alien minor child of William Shao-T'ang Hsieh, a United States citizen, may be admitted to the United States as a nonquota immigrant in accordance with sections 4(a) and 9 of the Immigration Act of 1924, if such alien is otherwise admissible under the immigration laws. Be in enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That notwithstanding the provisions of section 13(c) of the Immigration Act of 1924, as amended, Fumiko Ito Stewart, the wife of Theodore M. Stewart, a United States citizen, may be admitted to the United States for permanent residence if she is found to be otherwise admissible under the provisions of the immigration laws. AN ACT For the relief of loannis Dimitriou Cohilis.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That for the purposes of the immigration and naturalization laws, loannis Dimitriou Cohilis shall be held and considered to have been lawfuUy admitted to the United States for permanent residence as of the date of the enactment of this Act, upon payment of the required visa fee and head tax. Upon the granting of permanent residence to such alien as provided for in this Act, the Secretary of State shall instruct the proper quota officer to deduct one number from the appropriate quota for the first year that such quota is available.
