Land acquisition, National Capital park, parkway, and playground ^^^^•c.Code8-102 system: Under authority of the Act of May 29, 1930 (46 Stat. 482), as amended, for necessary expenses for the National Capital Planning Commission for acquisition of land for the park, parkway, and playground system of the National Capital, to remain available until expended, $545,000, of which (a) $135,000 shall be available for the purposes of section 1(a) of said Act of May 29, 1930, (b) $126,000 shall be available for the purposes of section 1(b) thereof, and (c) $284,000 shall be available for the purposes of section 4 thereof: Pro'> ^ vided, That not exceeding $26,4^0 of the funds available for land acquisition purposes shall be used during the current fiscal year for necessary expenses of the Commission (other than payments for land) in connection with land acquisition. Salaries and expenses: For expenses necessary to carry out the purposes of the National Science Foundation Act of 1950, as amended (42 U.S.C. 1861-1875), including award of graduate fellowships; services as authorized by section 15 of the Act of August 2, 1946 (5 U.S.C. 55a), at rates not to exceed $50 per diem for individuals; hire of passenger motor vehicles; not to exceed $89,500 for expenses of travel; not to exceed $150 for the purchase of newspapers and periodicals; and reimbursement of the General Services Administration for security guard services; $12,250,000, to remain available until expended.
