SEC. 2. Section 16 of the Federal Credit Union Act (12 U.S.C. sec. 1766) is hereby amended by adding at the end thereof the following new subsection: "(f) Any officer or employee of the Bureau of Federal Credit Unions is authorized, when designated for the purpose by the Director of the Bureau of Federal Credit Unions, to administer oaths and affirmations and to take affidavits and depositions touching upon any matter within the jurisdiction of the Bureau of Federal Credit Unions." AN ACT To amend section 3528 of the Revised Statutes, as amended, relating to the purchase of metal for minor coins of the United States,

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That section 3528 of the Revised Statutes, as amended (U.S.C. title 31, sec. 340), is hereby further amended by striking out "$1,000,000" and inserting in lieu thereof "$2,000,000". Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That section 4 of the Act of March 2, 1934 (48 Stat. 361; 48 U.S.C. 793a), is hereby repealed. SEC. 2. Any moneys remaining in the revolving fund established by subsection (d) of section 4 of said Act of March 2, 1934, shall be covered into the treasury of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. AN ACT To continue the effectiveness of the Act of December 2, 1942, as amended, and the Act of July 28, 1945, as amended, relating to war-risk hazard and detention benefits until July 1, 1955.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of AmHca in Congress assembled, That section 201 of the Act of December 2, 1942 (ch. 668, 56 Stat. 1033), as amended, is amended by deleting the words "July 1, 1954" and inserting in lieu thereof "July 1, 1955". SEC. 2. Section 5(b) of the Act of July 28, 1945 (ch. 328, 59 Stat. 505), as amended, is amended by deleting the words "July 1, 1954" and inserting in lieu thereof "July 1, 1955". Approved June 30, 1954.
