AN ACT To authorize the Secretary of the Army to convey to the Government's grantors certain lands erroneously conveyed by them to the United States.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary itSy'We?erJ^ti^it of the Army is authorized to convey by quitclaim deed to each grantor N. Y. of the United States all of the right, title, and interest of the United onveyance. States in and to those lands which were, through mistake, misunderstanding, error, or inadvertence conveyed, with certain other lands, to the United States by such grantor in connection with the expansion of the military reservation now known as the Camp Drum Military Reservation, New York, upon request of each such grantor. CHAPTER 543

AN ACT To exempt from taxation certain property of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States in the District of Columbia. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the property situated in square 724 in the city of Washington, District of Columbia, described as lots 819, 820, 821, 822, 823, and 824, owned by the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States, is hereby exempt from all taxation so long as the same is owned and occupied by the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States and is not used for commercial purposes, subject to the provisions of sections 2, 3, and 5 of the Act entitled "An Act to define the real property exempt from taxation in ihQ District of Columbia", approved Pecember 24, 1942 (56 Stat. 1091; D. C. Code, secs. 47-801b, 47-801c, and 47-801e). Approved July 19, 1954. Public Law 511

CHAPTER 544

AN ACT To amend paragraph 31 of section 7 of the Act entitled "An Act making appropriations to provide for the government of the District of Columbia for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1903, and for other purposes", approved July 1, 1902, as amended. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That subparagraph (e) of paragraph 31 of section 7 of the Act entitled "An Act making appropriations to provide for the government of the District of Columbia for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1903, and for other purposes", approved July 1, 1902, as amended (47 Stat. 556; sec. 47-2331 (e), D. C. Code, 1951 edition), is amended (a) by striking so much of the first sentence of said subparagraph (e) as reads "and a badge numbered to correspond with the number of said license, neither of which shall", and inserting in lieu thereof ", which shall not"; and (b) by striking so much of the second sentence of said subparagraph as reads "and such badge prominently worn upon the driver's breast at all times while", and inserting in lieu thereof "at all times while the licensee is".
