Nationality Act, Kurt Forsell may be admitted to the United States for permanent residence if he is found to be otherwise admissible under the provisions of that Act: Provided, That this exemption shall apply only to a ground for exclusion of which the Department of State or the, Department of Justice have knowledge prior to the enactment of this Act. AN ACT Yov the relief of Hanna Werner and her child, Hanna Elizabeth Werner.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the a i S ^ i d. ^ * ' " * ' C^mVe<i States of America in Congress assembled. That, in the admin66 Stat.* 163. istration of the Immigration and Nationality Act, Hanna Werner, the 8 USC 1101 note. fiancee of AVayne Picht, a citizen of the United States, and her child, Hanna Elizabeth Werner, may be eligible for visas as nonimmigrant temporary visitors for a period of three months: Provided, That the administrative authorities find that the said Hanna Werner is coming to the United States with a bona fide intention of being married to the said Wayne Picht, and that they are found otherwise admissible under the immigration laws, except that section 212(a) (12) of the Immigration and Nationality Act shall not be applicable to the said Hanna Werner: Provided further, That this exemption shall apply only to a ground for exclusion of which the Department of State or the Department of Justice have knowledge prior to the enactment of this Act. In the event the marriage between the above-named persons does not occur within three months after the entry of the said Hanna W^erner and her child, Hanna Elizabeth AVerner, they shall be required to depart from the United States and upon failure to do so 12^3."^*^ 125 2, siijiii be deported in accordance with the provisions of sections 242 and 243 of the Immigration and Nationality Act. In the event that the marriage between the above-named persons shall occur witliin three months after the entry of the saicl Hanna Werner and her child, Hanna Elizabeth Werner, the Attorney General is authorized antl directed to record iXv^ hiwful admission for permanent residence of the said Hanna Werner and her child, Hanna Elizabeth Werner, as of the date of the payment by them of the required visa fees. For the relief of Sergeant Welch Sanders.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the ders^ ^^^^^ ^®"" United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to pay, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to Welch Sanders, sergeant. United States Army, the sum of $10,500. The payment of such sum shall be in full settlement of all claims of the said Welch Sanders against the United States on account of the death of his wife, Garnette Brewer Sanders, and his infant son, William M. Sanders, on January 27, 1948, while passengers in an Air Force plane which crashed into White Horse Mountain located twelve miles east of Digne, France: Provided, That no part of the
