E X P E N S E S O F REFEREES
For miscellaneous expenses of referees. United States courts, including the salaries of their clerical assistants, travel, purchase of envelopes without regard to the Act of June 26, 1906 (34 Stat. 476), not to exceed $1,650,500, to be derived from the referees' expense fund established in pursuance of the Act of June 28, 1946, as amended (11 U.S.C. 6 8 (c)(4)).

GENERAL PROVISIONS—THE JUDICIARY e m SEC. 302. Sixty per centum of the expenditures for the District to RU.i S.b u r a e m e n t Court of the United States for the District of Columbia from all appropriations under this title and 30 per centum of the expenditures for the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia from all appropriations under this title shall be reimbursed to the United States from any funds in the Treasury to the credit of the District of Columbia. TITLE IV—UNITED STATES INFORMATION AGENCY SALARIES AND EXPENSES
For expenses necessary to enable the United States Information Agency, as authorized by Reorganization Plan Numbered 8 of 1953, f'lfs^c lali-is and the United States Information and Educational Exchange Act, noteas amended (22 U.S.C. 1431 et seq.), to carry out international 62 Stat. 6. information activities, including employment, without regard to the civil-service and classification laws, of (1) persons on a temporary basis (not to exceed $120,000), (2) aliens within the United States, and (3) aliens abroad for service in the United States relating to the translation or narration of colloquial speech in foreign languages (such aliens to be investigated for such employment in accordance with procedures established by the Secretary of State and the Attorney General); travel expenses of aliens employed abroad for service in the United States to and from the United States; salaries, expenses, and allowances of personnel and dependents as authorized by the Foreign Service Act of 1946, as amended (22 U.S.C. 801-1158); expenses of attendance at meetings concerned 60 Stat. 999. with activities provided for under this appropriation (not to exceed $6,000); entertainment within the United States (not to exceed $1,000); hire of passenger motor vehicles; insurance of official motor vehicles in foreign countries when required by the law of such countries; purchase of space in publications abroad, without regard to the
