STATUE OF COMMODORE JOHN BARRY

Resolved by the House of Representatives {the Senate concurring)^ That there is hereby created a joint committee, to be composed of six mft'fee repres^S" Members of the House of Representatives to be appointed by the ^"B congress. Speaker of the House and six Members of the Senate to be appointed by the President of the Senate, to represent the Congress at the ceremonies in connection with the unveiling of the statue of Commodore John Barry to be presented by the President to Ireland on behalf of the people of the United States at Wexford, Ireland, on September 16, 1956. The members of the joint committee shall select a chairman from among their number. The expenses of the joint committee incurred in carrying out the Expenses. l^urposes of this resolution, not to exceed $25,000, shall be paid out of the contingent fund of the House of Representatives upon vouchers authorized by such joint committee and approved by the Committee on House Administration of the House of Representatives. Willis; and that there be printed one hundred thirty-two thousand additional copies to be prorated to the Members of the House of Representatives for a period of ninety days after which the unused balance shall revert to the Committee on the Judiciary, P a s s e d July 12, 1956.
