SEC. 2. The real property situated in Square 817, in the city of Washington, District of Columbia, described as lot 23, owned, occupied, and used by the American Historical Association, is exempt from all taxation so long as the same is so owned and occupied, and not used for commercial purposes, subject to the provisions of sections 2, 3, and 5 of the Act entitled "An Act to define the real property exempt from taxation in the District of Columbia", approved December 24, 1942 (56 Stat. 1089; D. C. Code, secs. 47-801b, 47-801c, and 47-801e). Approved July 3, 1957.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Repvei^e/ntatireH of the United States of America in Congress a^'^sembled. That section 6 of p^^ucbuiidin the Act relating to the admission of the State of Idaho into the T^nioii land grants, be amended to read as follows: '"That fifty sections of the unappropriated public lands within said State, to be selected and located in legal subdivisions as provided in section 4 of the Act, shall be, and 26 Stat. 215. are hereby, granted to said State for the purpose of erecting public buildings at the capital of said State for legislative, executive, and judicial purposes, including construction, reconstruction, repair, renovation, furnishings, equipment, and any other permanent improvement of such buildings and the acquisition of necessary land for such buildings, and the payment of principal and interest on bonds issued for any of the above purposes." Effective date. SEC. 2. This Act shall take effect as of July 3, 1890. Approved July 3, 1957. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, Thsct the amount of $20,600,000 fixed by the Second Deficiency Appropriation Act, 1948 (62 Stat. 1029) as the limit of cost for construction and equipment of an additional office building for the United States Senate is hereby increased by $2,846,000. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That section 1157 of title 18 of the United States Code, as amended, is repealed. Approved July 10, 1957.
