Code, sec. 31-101), is amended by inserting " (a) ' ' immediately after "SEC. 2." and by adding at the end thereof the following new subsection: " (b) The judges of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia shall have power to remove any member of the Board of Education at any time for adequate cause affecting his character and efficiency as a member, after a public hearing on a verified complaint filed by the United States Attorney for the District of Columbia, or one of his assistants, and on issues framed by a verified answ^er. The United States District Court of the District of Columbia is empowered to promulgate rules to carry out the purpose of this subsection." Approved August 2, 1957.

Public Law 85-120 AN ACT To amend and extend the Small Business Act of 1953, as amended. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That section 204(b) of the Small Business Act of 1953 is amended (1) by striking out "$455,000,000" wherever it appears and inserting in lieu thereof "$530,000,000", and (2) by striking out "$230,000,000" and inserting in lieu thereof "$305,000,000". SEC. 2. Section 221(a) of the Small Business Act of 1953 is amended by striking out "1957" and inserting in lieu thereof "1958". SEC. 3. This Act shall take effect as of the close of July 31, 1957. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the second sentence of section 27 of the Act of February 25, 1920, as amended (30 U.S.C. 184), is amended by the deletion of the words "or permits exceeding in the aggregate five thousand one hundred and twenty acres in any one State, and". Approved August 13, 1957.
