Private Law 85-75 AN ACT For the relief of Edith Elisabeth AVagner.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, Thatj notwithstargiing the provision of section 212(a)(9) of the Immigration and Nationality Act, Edith Elisabeth Wagner, the fiancee of Eugene H. Achenbach, a citizen of the United States, shall be eligible for a visa as a nonimmigrant temporary visitor for a period of three months: Provided, That the administrative authorities find that the said Edith Elisabeth Wagner is coming to the United States with a bona fide intention of being married to the said Eugene H. Achenbach, that she is found otherwise admissible under the immigration laws: And provided further, That this exemption shall apply only to a ground for exclusion of which the Department of State or the Department of Justice has knowledge prior to the enactment of this Act. In the event the marriage between the above-named persons does not occur within three months after the entry of the said Edith Elisabeth Wagner, she shall be required to depart from the United States and upon failure to do so shall be deported in accordance with the provisions of sections 242 and 243 of the Immigration and Nationality Act. In the event that the marriage between the above-named persons shall occur within three months after the entry of the said Edith Elisabeth Wagner, the Attorney General is authorized and directed to record the lawful admission for permanent residence of the said Edith Elisabeth Wagner as of the date of the payment by her of the required visa fee. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That, in the admin- nLu'^^^° sMkaistration of the Immigration and Nationality Act, Fumiko Shikanuki, ee'Stat. i63. the fiancee of Robert George Cartee, a citizen of the United States, *"^*= no mote, shall be eligible for a visa as a nonimmigrant temporary visitor for a period of three months: Provided, That the administrative authorities find that the said Fumiko Shikanuki is coming to the United States with a bona fide intention of being married to the said Robert George ('artee and that she is found otherwise admissible under the immigration laws. In the event the marriage between the above-named persons does not occur within three months after the entry of the said Fumiko Shikanukij she shall be required to depart from the United States and upon failure to do so shall be deported in accordance with the provisions of sections 242 and 243 of the Immigration and Nationality Act. In the event that the marriage between the above-named ^253" ^ ^ 1252. persons shall occur within three months after the entry of the said Fumiko Shikanuki, the Attorney General is authorized and directed to record the lawful admission for permanent residence of the said Fumiko Shikanuki as of the date of the payment by her of the required visa fee.
