PUBLIC HOUSING ADMINISTRATION A N N U A L CONTRIBUTIONS

For the payment of annual contributions to public housing agencies in accordance with section 10 of the United States Housing Act of 1937, as amended (42 U.S.C. 1410), $107,500,000. g^so st«tj SQ^I^^JO ADMINISTRATIVE EXPENSES

For administrative expenses of the Public Housing Administration, $11,800,000, to be expended under the authorization for such expenses contained in title II of this Act. I N T E R S T A T E COMMERCE COMMISSION SALARIES AND EXPENSES

For necessary expenses of the Interstate Commerce Commission, including not to exceed $5,000 for the employment of special counsel; services as authorized by section 15 of the Act of August 2, 1946 (5 U.S.C. 55a), at rates not to exceed $50 per diem for individuals; newspapers (not to exceed $300); purchase of not to exceed thirtyfour passenger motor vehicles of which fourteen shall be for replacement only; and not to exceed $1,225,000 for expenses of travel; $17,000,000, of which not less than $1,405,100 shall be available for expenses necessary to carry out railroad safety activities and not less than $966,300 shall be available for expenses necessary to carry out locomotive inspection activities: Provided, That Joint Board members and cooperating State commissioners may use Government transportation requests when traveling in connection with their duties as such.

NATIONAL ADVISORY COMMITTEE FOR AERONAUTICS SALARIES AND EXPENSES

For necessarv expenses of the Committee, including contracts for the making or special investigations and reports (not to exceed $1,000,000) and for engineering, drafting and computing services; not to exceed $412,500 for expenses of travel; maintenance and operation of aircraft; purchase of fifteen passenger motor vehicles, of which fourteen shall be for replacement only; not to exceed $100 for newspapers and periodicals; uniforms or allowances therefor, as authorized by the Act of September 1, 1954 (68 Stat. 1114), as amended; and services as authorized by section 15 of the Act of August 2, 1946 (5 U.S.C. 55a); $78,100,000. CONSTRUCTION AND EQUIPMENT

For construction and equipment at laboratories and research stations of the Committee, $23,000,000, to remain available until expended.
