Salaries and Expenses For an additional amount for "Salaries and expenses", $345,000. OFFICE OF MINERALS EXPLORATION SALARIES AND EXPENSES
For expenses necessary to provide a program for the discovery of the minerals reserves of the United States, its Territories and possessions, by encouraging exploration for minerals, including administration of contracts entered into prior to June 30, 1958, under section 50 ^u^s"c°L" ^^^ ^^ ^^^ Defense Production Act of 1950, as amended; hire of pas2093. ' senger motor vehicles; services as authorized by section 15 of the Act 60 Stat. 810. of August 2, 1946 (5 U.S.C. 55a), when authorized by the Secretary, at rates not to exceed $75 per diem for individuals; and attendance at meetings concerned with the purposes of this appropriation, $4,000,000, of which $37,000 shall be transferred to the appropriation "Salaries and expenses".
