For an additional amount for "Inpatient care", $6,000,000; and the limitation under this head in the Independent Offices Appropriation ^^^^^ 1958, ou the amount available for expenses of travel, is increased from "$366,500" to "$416,500": Provided, That, notwithstanding the last proviso under that head, inpatient care and treatment may be furnished to an average of 140,490 beneficiaries during the current fiscal year without any proportionate reduction in expenditures. For an additional amount for "Maintenance and operation of supply depots", $37,800. COMPENSATION AND PENSIONS

For an additional amount for "Compensation and pensions", $256,000,000, to remain available until expended. READJUSTMENT BENEFITS
