Private Law 86-89 AN ACT For the relief of William S. Scott. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That sections 15 to 20, inclusive, of the Act entitled "An Act to provide compensation for employees of the United States suffering injuries while in the performance of their duties, and for other purposes", approved September 7, 1916, as amended (5 U.S.C. 765-769) are hereby waived in favor of William S. Scott for compensation for disability caused by an injury allegedly sustained by him in November 1937 while an employee of the Internal Revenue Service of the Treasury Department at the Custom House, Bowling Green, New York City, New York, and his claim is authorized and directed to be considered and acted upon under the remaining provisions of such Act, as amended, if he files such claim with the Bureau of Employees' Compensation, not later than six months after the date of enactment of this Act: Pro^ided^ That no benefits shall accrue by reason of the enactment of this Act for any period prior to the date of its enactment, except in the case of such medical or hospitalization expenditures which may be deemed reimbursable. Private Law 86-90 AN ACT For the relief of Sallie B. Dickens. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Treasury is authorized and directed to pay, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to Sallie B. Dickens, of Enfield, North Carolina, the sum of $105.35 in full satisfaction of her claim against the United States for compensation for services performed for the United States District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina in preparing a transcript of record in the case of the United States against Paul Jeffers, criminal numbered 1974 and 1975, Elizabeth City division: Provided, That no part of the amount appropriated in this Act shall be paid or delivered to or received by any agent or attorney on account of services rendered in connection with this claim, and the same shall be unlawful, any contract to the contrary notwithstanding. Any person violating the provisions of this Act shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in any sum not exceeding $1,000. Approved August 4, 1959.
