AN
ACT
To establish a price support level for milk and butterfat.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Miik and butter- JJ^^Q^ States of America in Congress assembled, That subsection (c) Price support. of section 201 of the Agricultural Act of 1949 (7 U.S.C. 1446), as 68 Stat. 899. amended, is further amended by adding the following new sentence to be inserted immediately after the first sentence: "Notwithstanding the foregoing provisions, for the period beginning with the enactment of this sentence and ending March 31, 1961, the price of milk for manufacturing purposes and the price of butterfat shall be supported at not less than $3.22 per hundredweight and 59.6 cents per pound, respectively." AN ACT
To amend the Tariff Act of 1930 to place bamboo pipe stems on the free list. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That section 201 of the Tariff Act of 1930 (19 U.S.C! 1201) is amended by adding at the end thereof the following new paragraph: "PAR. 1824. Notwithstanding any other provision of this Act, bamboo pipe stems, in whatever condition of manufacture, whether wholly or partly finished, or whether bored or unbored. This paragraph shall not apply to products of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics or of any nation or area dominated or controlled by the foreign government or foreign organization controlling the world Communist movement, as determined by the President pursuant to section 5 of the Trade Agreements Extension Act of 1951." SEC. 2. The amendment made by the first section of this Act shall apply only with respect to articles entered, or withdrawn from warehouse, for consumption, after the date of the enactment of this Act.
