AN ACT For the relief of the legal guardian of E d w a r d Peter Callas, a minor.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the of^E d^! ITd^^p! United States of America in Congress assembled,. That the Secretary Callas. of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to pay, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, the sum of $20,000 to the legal guardian of Edward Peter Callas, a minor, of Brooklyn, New York, in full settlement of all claims against the United States. Such sum represents compensation for the personal injury, and all expenses incident thereto sustained as a result of an accident involving the explosion of a round of ordnance on the beach at Kwajalein, Marshall Islands, on February 20, 1955. Such explosives being left on the beach by the United States Armed Forces: Provided, That no part of the amount appropriated in this Act in excess of 10 per centum thereof shall be paid or delivered to or received by any agent or attorney on account of services rendered in connection with this claim, and the same shall be unlawful, any contract to the contrary notwithstanding. Any person violating the provisions of this Act shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in any sum not exceeding $1,000. Approved June 8, 1960. ^ N ACT For the relief of Richard L. Niith.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America, in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Treasury is hereby authorized and directed to pay, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to Richard L. Nuth of Cambridge, Massachusetts, the sum of $595, such amount representing reimbursement to said Richard L. Nuth for paying out of his own funds a judgment rendered against him in the courts of the State of Massachusetts, arising out of an accident which occurred on September 19, 1955, when he was operating a Post Office Department vehicle in the course of his duties as an employee of the Post Office Department: Provided, That no part of the amount appropriated in this Act in excess of 10 per centum thereof shall be paid or delivered to or received by any agent or attorney on account of services rendered in connection with this claim, and the same shall be unlawful, any contract to the contrary notwithstanding.
